I been having this problem since i downloaded and installed NS 3.0 beta(plus patch)

It happens often, I'd be fighting something, and the game would just freeze up, For Example, the last time it happend, i had just Gone up against an Onos, with a shotgun, 250 armour, and what not.

As im shooting away at it, and its trying to maul me, the game just freezes up, Ctr+alt+del wont work, nothing will come up, i have to ilegally reboot the computer,

the time it happend before that, was when i was building something, and it just froze, before that it froze as i was trying to get into the Commanders chair.

Same thing every time it happens, just freezes. and I end up having to ilegally reboot the computer.

Its becoming quite annoying.

OS - WinXP
GC - ATI Rage Fury pro(24mb)
Ram - 256mb
Processor - AMD Athlon(751mhz)
Sound Card- Creative Soundblaster PCI(dont know any other details on it)

I have not had this problem with any other games i play off steam, or HL for that matter.

I can play, CS, DoD, TFC, HL, constantly without any problems..

But with NS, It freezes often, So if anyone can help me, that would be great.

if youre overclocking the vid card, thats the problem.

Ditto everything he said...I'll regular have the game freeze mid-game, but ONLY in NS, not in any other mod.

no overclocking...but it happens a LOT...

The only solution I can think of is to check you have the most recent drivers installed for your video and sound cards, and also your motherboard chipset.

Try and get a reproduceable result and post it in the bug forum.

You also might want to try removing any custom models/sounds you might have installed.

I've got all the latest drivers, and no custom anything...

I also have this problem and its causing me to get extremely ****, its jus NS no other HL mod... and it happens when I quit alot.. not through a command im talking about escape...quit... and also just alot of random crashing its sooooooo ANNOYING and idk if its ati cards or drivers or what but its infuriateing...

ditto, the fact that they havent fixed this problem since march 10th makes me extreemly **** about the ns developers. i know that they are working on progressing the game, but bugs are more important then a new version. FIX THE DAMN GAME FLAYRA!!!!!!!!!!

I was having similar issue, but on CO maps. Saw this posted on another forum about CZ trickle d-loading. Once I stopped the d-load the issue went away.

mine crashes everytime i exit without ctrl alt del, and it will sometimes crash in the middle of the game for no reason. All this started after the big steam update with cz, i stopped the cz download and Im still having problems.

im having the same problem, it just crashes randomly and i can't quit the game without the reset button. it only happens since the last Steam Update and before (with beta3, too) it worked fine...

Hope the developers will fix this, soon

Guys, the exit bug is Steam's fault. It happens on many mods.
The random lockups bug must also be their fault, but I don't know as I only had it once.
