ok this is what it says, but i dont know what idid wrong. its a real simple map so far just a cube, witha light, and an info_playerstart, ive done this simple b4 and it works, but now i cant do it anymore. anyone got an answer?

You probably placed the room too close to the borders of the map. Move it to the middle and it should work.

Yuppers! A brush may be:
1. Extending off the grid
2. On the edge of the grid
3. too close to the edge of the grid (i get this sometimes)

with #3, even though it may look like you have plenty of room between the edge of the brush and the edge of the grid, the compilers may still complain.

Also in hammer do alt+p and see what comes up. Fix anything that hammer isn't happy with. Usually it's an invalid brush because it is concave in some way. (if you can draw a line between any two vertices without going through the brush then you have an invalid brush)

It'd get my vote but I'm powerless here biggrin.gif

I only have moderation over the base mapping forum so I can maintain the FAQ.
