Hello.
I'm having trouble with the scoreboard icons not working.
When the server initially starts the icons are there, including the serverops icon from mp_serverops, but when I change the level, all the icons dissapear and I cant appear to get them back. No ones icons come up, no serverops icon, constellation, and vet (nothing).
Anyone know why this is?

No, but i've managed to get them back (dont know how, lol), all the icons are now working each level except for the ids in mp_serverops. Again, works when the server starts and doesnt work again when the level changes.
They disappeared for a while with me too. Then they came back next time I was on the server. mp_uplink was 1.
Must be a bug because I'm pretty sure I remember seeing in the changelog that if the server can't download the list of players with icons from natural-selection.org, then it will just use the ones it had from the last map.

Ok, Mashu, it's possible that sometimes when your server tries to contact NS.org for the icon lists that ns.org is busy... and it doesn't get a response in time.
It does this roughly every 2 hours... it's entirely possible to miss this window twice or 3 times in a row (because forum goers hog our server :>) and believe that they're never working...
Also.. check that you're not blocking outgoing connections over http... is it possible that you have iptables entries or something blocking an http connection? (or an external firewall) as the ns server uses http to grab the list.
server ops icons won't populate either if the uplink fails... so that's why you see those missing aswell (in effect the icon code switches off till the next time it has a 'good' list).
Tbh, that code is going to change significantly in the very near future, and should be a lot cleaner and have less of these sorts of problems.

Also notice that the CD icons do not work, even with cd_use_nsicon on 1.
i have the same problem with the mp_serverops icons. they show up when you have completely restarted the server and disappear forever after the first mapchange.
ps: constie and veteran icons work. server op icons disappear.

I'm gonna assume this is a bug in beta 2. My admin icon dissapears as well after a map change.
