I would like to start a topic where those who have created custom textures for NS can post their wads. This would be a good resource for those who want to add more diversity to their maps. Along with posting or linking your textures tell us what you want for credits for the textures. Be easier than scouring the search features and everything would be convientlly be all in one place.
Rules of posting:
Please give the name of your WAD, a link to the download, and (if possible) a shot of either the textures in your texture program or in use.
All posts not containing released WAD's will be removed.

OK, here are some (previously unreleased) textures you may find useful in NS. All I ask is that you give credit in the accompanying readme file/easter egg/wherever your credits are, if you use these textures in a map.
EDIT: 5/6/03 - version 1.1, contains 3 new "{" textures. I can't be bothered to make a new preview pic, so just get the wad already!

Although its not custom, it might help. For those of you who want to use the half-life lights but are tired of searching through the whole Half-life .wad I have cut out all the lights and put them into a small .wad .
I did this just cause I needed more texlights and I wanted to use half-life lights but didn't want halflife.wad.

I've compiled all 42 of my infested textures into one WAD. Some of them date back to before I got my technique quite right and a few also appear in my seethough WAD, but I think they're generaly worthy of your hive rooms (some even feature in the new version of eclipse).

ns_hydrosity.wadThe textures with the C14 prefix were originally created by Carbon 14 although I have made modifications to the majority of them.
There are some textures from CA_infest.wad which was originally created by ChromeAngel.
The rest are either modifications of ns.wad textures or original textures made by various community members for use in ns_hydrosity.

Someone was using the support_lab textures with gritty grey metal, and it didn't look too great, so I figured, what the heck, lets whip up a quick remix of the wall_lab textures to look a little grittier and metallic.

EDIT: Some people are having problems with corrupt ZIP and RAR archives, despite that the downloaded archives work fine for me, and I've re-compressed and uploaded them numerous times. If you are having trouble with the texture downloads, please PM me.

This will probably be redundant when 2.1 is released .... but.... I found some of the NS2.WAD textures to be oversized wherever I wanted to used them, so i've shrunk a bunch of 256x256 textures down to 128x128. This allows me to have 4 times as many of squeal's incrediable textures in my map before hitting the texture limit

I don't know if you were trying to compensate for env_gamma or a lighting technique, or what, but those (admittedly gorgeous) textures look a little washed out, Duke. I downloaded the zip and tried doing -15 brightness and +15 contrast, and it did wonders for them. They match ns.wad now!

You should try it and see if you like the results.

TheDuke, those are great textures! And the type of changes WarpZone showed will make those fit into the other NS textures perfectly. Great job guys!

I've noticed that in the ns2.wad there are many light fixtures, but only a few actually have a seperate overlay texture. So I decided to make a tex light for every light in the .wad (except for wall lights).
Here you go, please credit me if you must use them

missing +0techbluebay in the wad file.
and all animate texture has a "~" after the number.
so the textures must look like that:
+0~techbluebay
+1~techbluebay
+2~techbluebay
+3~techbluebay
+4~techbluebay
and the only called techblue doesnt has the number 3 texture only techblue1,2,4,5,6,7and 8 but not number 3 and 0 (zero).

From the release files of the map I've found. I'm assuming he included the wadfile into the BSP. If this is the case, I have no idea how to get them out of there (if at all possible)

He gave me the .wad at one point. In fact the wad was hosted in his post a bit above mine. However, that host has gone under and I've lost my copy.
