OK I have heard conflicting things.

From what I have been told if you have a single gorge then this gorge will get resources twice as quick than if you had two gorges. This only applies when your team of say Skulk have full resources as well. Also say you have a gorge who goes skulk all resources lost when he/she returns to say max 33 are given to the other players on team???

Or is it simply everyone gets resources as they are given, in equal amount, by the resource towers? No funny business.

I can't find anything in the manual on it.

Example: a 6-man team.

With 6 skulks, resources are divided by 6 and given to all equally. Each alien gets 1/6 of the resources.
Each gorge, however, "counts" as 3 aliens. So for a team with 5 skulks and 1 gorge, resources are divided by (5x1 + 1x3) = 8. Each skulk gets 1/8 of the RPs, and the gorge gets 3/8.
If you have two gorges, then you divide the resources by (4x1 + 2x3) = 10. Each skulk gets 1/10, and each gorge gets 3/10, which is less than 3/8. So yes, multiple gorges slow down resource flow.

The second point is when aliens on your team fill to their cap (33, 66, 100 for 1, 2, and 3 hives). Once an alien is "full," he is removed from the resource allocation. So let's say two of the 6-man team are full. With one gorge, you now divide RPs by (3x1 + 1x3) = 6. The gorge gets 3/6 = 1/2 of the RPs!
If you have two gorges, that's dividing by (2x1 + 2x3) = 8; each gorge gets 3/8 instead of 1/2.

In the extreme case, let's say everyone but the gorge is full. That means the gorge gets 3/3 of the resources - all of them! If you have two gorges, each one gets 3/6 or half.

Finally, there *is* an upper limit to the speed at which resources can be distributed, so more towers = faster overall resource gain.

ok my first post on this board, and not related to this thread really... but I could not stand by and let you say that this is what tribes soooo should have been, that's the most rediculous thing I've ever heard. I agree this mod rocks, and is very addictive, but even in it's current state it could be tuned into 2 or 3 different types of games entirely if they had the time. Tribes 1 is a totally different game, and I've yet to see any game come close to it's uniqueness and level of depth. I know you're just saying this game is perfect for you and Tribes wasn't your thing, just your statement upset me deaply. hehe
