how about noobs that dont listen and go gorge as soon as they get 13 resources.!!!!!

ITS COMMEN SENCE YOU HAVE MORE ATTACKERS THEN BUILDERS EVEN WITHOUT THE RESOURCE SYSTEM..

I hear that. Me and a guy were chewing on the com chair and got it to 10%. It would have fell easier if there werent just us 2 skulks and FIVE gorges.
And worst of all, not one made a def chamber. Not even sensory or movement. Or saving for hive. Just spammed OT's all over. Now thats pain.

I was playing a game once, and at one point my team consisted of myself (the lone skulk) and six gorges. I told them it was a very bad idea and we only needed one or two but nobody listened, and they wondered why it was taking them so long to get enough points to build anything.

And yes, we lost. smile.gif

One gorge per 3 players seems like a nice number to work with. Maybe it might even be implemented.

Incorrect. When the game first starts, there should be one gorge. Once that gorge gets 2 nodes built, and not before, it's OK for another to go gorge if there are at least 6 total alien players. With 5 or less there should not be 2 gorges.

IMO, I don't base it on how many nodes you have. I base it on the number of hives, assuming the majority of the aliens are playing as they 'should'. In other words, skulks, lerks, and fades are keeping the marines busy.

First off - only one gorge, no matter how many people are playing. That lone gorge goes around capping nodes on the way to the second hive.

Once the second hive is up, this part of my 'theory' depends on the number of alien players:
6+, another player can go gorge
6-, stay with one gorge (and maybe allow 'temporary gorges')

Once the third hive is up, I figure anyone can play as whatever they want. If you've got three hives, hopefully the marines aren't getting out of hand. If the whole team wants to do a gorge health-spray rush, let 'em. tounge.gif

This way usually works pretty well. In larger games, it's usually easy to request "only one gorge per hive". It gives that one gorge lots of resources to support the rest of the team, and also provides a larger number of attackers.

3 is the ABSOLUTE maximum of gorges, ever. 2 is optimal though.
