Ok, you are in a small corridor, as a gorge.
You want to make a wall of lame, but still be able to have your friends be able to get over the wall.
What do you do?
COMPRESS TOWERS!
What is tower compression? Tower compression is the act of creating chambers within other chambers, so you get to squeeze UNLIMITED towers anywhere there is enough space to make a two-tower stack.
How you do it:
Build a tower.
Build a tower behind the first tower.
Build a new tower on top of the first one.
Jump on the first one as a gorge, and shoot down at it with acid spit, while jumping.
WA-LA! The third tower is now sinking into the first!
I have also noticed that the chamber limit is determined by the number of hives.
I have fit 9 OCs backed by 9 DCs into the area normally occupied by two chambers on hera reception.
Spacing is the choice of the builder, but I generally just leave max chamber "presents" in the middle of rooms. Marines cannot run across, as they will get killed too fast, and aliens can get by easily.
No more trapped onii.
Another thing:
As a gorge...
Hide in RTs as you are building them. (Hide in the fat part up just a bit away from the center of the nozzle, and from there, many stupid marines will walk right by you without noticing you. You can also place chambers on top of the RT, which is very useful at times.

This seems far too close to an exploit to me. It's good for now, but I suggest the devs take a close look at this. Another issue is the ability for marines to build turret factories on top of resource nodes. Logically, in real life, that would decrease the efficiency of the resource node with all that weight on top of its articulated parts. And I've never heard US Military personnel yell out "Hey, let's get a 50 cal on top of this tent!"

I don't know about you foreign people, though. You do some really strange things with your military.

Post script - Don't take the above as a flame or insult to non-Americans. I love you foreign people. I really do.

I sincerely hope the devs don't take out the ability to build towers on top of each other. This comes in especially handy on maps like ns_nothing, for blocking elevators and slowing the Marines' advance.

Or when onos get stuck between towers in the ceiling, and have to de-evolve.

I dunno, walls of lame basically stop the 'storm and siege rush' which makes games really really fun.
It basically means a solo marine cannot sneak into your hive and start gunning it to scare you all and draw you back to your hive..
I don't really think walls of lame add much. Its too easy for the aliens to use them to choke the marine's in a specific area.

I don't think compressed towers is that useful. I would never use them. It seems like they are tricky to build, and I'd rather block to corridor so marines will have a harder time getting past the chokepoint.

Compressed towers are actually quite easy to construct. All you have to do is get on top of one and shoot down while jumping...

and you'd rather block the corridors so the marines can't get past....
Stop and think please, who the hell are you blocking? Not the marines.
Block the corridor, block your team, cause the marines aren't running past.
No, really, just don't do it, I stopped using onos at all, and fades due in part, due to idiot gorges that block the corridors.

Can the towers still shoot? You'd think they would be a bit blocked.

Yes they can still shoot, however i like to build them a little bit offset from the one under them just in case. example:
-- (OC)(OC)-- <--- OC's on top of other ones
(OC)(OC)(OC) <--- OC's
------------------------ <--- the floor
If a marine shoots them they will sink into eachother also. This doesnt seem to work with D Chambers however, and i havent tried sensory or movement either.

Today:
"You $#^#&ing noob! How the $^@#^$ are we supposed to get past with Onos?"
"$^#^$#ing idiot."
*jump jump jump*
*spit spit spit*
"wtf?"
