Sigh... i have lost all hope for public education, some people never paid attention in history class when it came to military blunders.

I am the sole marine with half a brain, the rest are mindless drones that minds consist of 99% of the ID portion of the personality... they think only of themselves and not the game.

Truthfully, I've seen lots of good marines lately, but they're just like you: ALONE, or RARE. The whole "group effort" thing doesn't work as well as it should on Pub servers. But I've been butchered by marines many times, and there are good ones out there.

Why not play as aliens and see who kills you the most, and then ask them to join your clan if you think they're good?

Man, I ran into my first group of smart marines and I'm sure they're multiplying.
You know, the kind that DON'T MISS. (and no i don't blaime aimbot, i can drop a skulk myself)
But these marines were ruthlessly efficient in a game of Tanith.

Some marine by the name of Rope sure **obscenity** off a lot of people because he was impossible to kill.
They started roaming in packs and watching doors, and even covering each other's back while 1 built. WTF is that about? Marines know us skulks can't get them if they all build at once, right?

Im seeing it happen a bit on the server I play on.

We had a commander build a siege cannons in the WATER, under Feedwater (our first & only hive).
I've never seen siege so quickly & well placed in a game. It caught us completely off guard ("Where the hell is it! I can't find it!! We're gonna lose, find that siege!!!) & costed us the game.

wrong... ive had groups of marines dropped by a single skulk... REPETIVELY, till i killed the fool (all he was doing was hiding above the door confused.gif .

It really doesnt help when you are in a group of marines and you feel slightly safe when you reteat to reload when you find the rest are now dead from the weakened skulk i couldnt finish off. You would think all those "leet" CSers would carry over SOME aiming skills. Sure skulks are fast, but not so fast that you cant get a FEW rounds into it. I think the problem is that people dont know how to put the skulks at a disadvantage (longrange/narrow and strait corridors are skulks worse places).

I've hooked up with good marines, and we would do the above... cover each other, help build... make suggestions to the commander (or explain how to get motion tracking confused.gif ) and we would basically carry the team on our backs.

It comes with ups and downs...sometimes aliens get owned by marines who work in groups of 4, rushing to secure hives and resources, backed up by a good commander. Sometimes they are as dumb as they get...
Today I surprised two marines building, one was building TF, the other resource node. Well I killed the first marine, but I actually didn't see the other one cause he was standing behind a building. Their was a lot of biting and shooting but he just kept building... I even hesitated cause I was surprised. I did kill him finally, he didn't have the chance of firing a single round wink.gif

problem is... for me i seem to ALWAYS have the moronic teammates...

All you people who play against good marines must be on a LAN or in a super secret server that is locked cause i am not finding any place with good to decent regulars.
