Is it possible to move quickly to "happening" location as commander? Like space in StarCraft for example and how the teleports work? They are teleporting to the nearest 2nd teleport? There is no use to 3 teleports or more? (alien and marine teleports working same way?)

Space brings you to the last "alert" message (for example Soldier needs Ammo/Health, Building attacked etc.)And if you have more than two phase gate and you step on one of them, you will first be beamed to one, if you step on the one you landed on you'll be send to the next one and so on...until you get back to where you started

It's always the same pattern, so you will know very soon, which phase gate brings you where

not necessarily space, just whatever your jump button is. mine, for example, is shift, and it still works. but yes whenever you here the lady say something jump 'jumps' there...

you're right...it's jump, not necessarily space...

Mine is SPACE (for jumping to "happening" location like in most RTS) and the 4th mouse button (for jumping...upwards)

The commander mode rejects all mouse binds. So you'll have to bind jump to another key.

I've got mine set to space. It's a great feature, but sometimes people constantly ask for health or ammo, and then when you try to jump to something important, you go to them because they called it in .0005 seconds after the important message.

As was said, your jump key will send you to an event, but must be bound to a keyboard key - not a mouse key.

Is there a way to bind a button to automatically drop health and/or ammo, rather than having to pick it out from the menu?? I have seen many a soldier die when I had plenty of resources to give them health but I just wasted some time finding the right icon.

Start up Half-Life and go to the controls menu. All the things are there to bind to. If you can't select health with that bind, I think you need to be on that specific menu that has the health and ammo to use that hotkey. I'm not sure as I havn't commanded much.

The shortkey must be in controls. There are plently of commander shortkeys, and I think it must be found there.
