The Punk A$$ Fraggers are known for releasing fine, high quality replacement packs for Counter Strike with tens of thousands of downloads over the past few months.
We would like to release just such a pack for NS and we need your help.
If you have a Player or Weapon model, skin, sound, HUD, Menu, Sprite and would like to see it in a major release, please send it to soopafly@punkassfraggers.com and if it really r0x, i'll include it in the pack along with all the proper credits to you.
Also, to get your Player or Weapon model, skin, sound, HUD, Menu, Sprite etc reviewed and hosted for download, please send it to sanguis.ba

No reason flames should come. Some people (and rightly so) are a little irritated at custom models, sprites, and such because they give the player an unfair advantage (eg decreasing the lmg's muzzle flash or removing the skulk's teeth model). Nothing flame-worthy, really, IMO.
Looking forward to seeing some custom skins, maps, sounds, etc coming from the growing NS community.

Let me clarify my position here.
These packs are not going to be for people to gain an unfair advantage.
What i'm looking for is high poly, high detail models sprites and sounds. Finely made stuff. Not some cheezy neon red heavy machine gun that glows in dark places so you can see it a mile away. I'm talking about putting together something that can replace the stock models that have to be lower poly for the sake of the people, and giving the game a face lift.
For example, The last pack I released for Counter Strike replaced 526 stock files and it's an auto installer so no worrying about where to put them all. This pack replaced every weapon and player model, the HUD, the menu system, sprites, console, sounds the works. It's a total replacememnt pack.
I think it'll be a while before that number of files is available but I know there are high end models out there. I just want to put them all together in a pack for people that want a little change.

I don't use a single original model for CS. It's because of model packs like this that games remain interesting to me.

its useless. id say waaaaaaaay more than 90% (more like 98%) run file consistency. and its not CS-style, its solely V model. NS doesnt have P or W models IIRC
Well get your own server and turn Consistancy off...

I'm a Custom model fanatic.. and Customs will catch on once clans and server admins start getting bored, and one day turn and see a PAF review, and go "wow that would make this game that much better" I say that everytime I look at the PulseRifle Duo made.

In it, you can see the commands servers are running.. the variables.. You can tell if consistancy is on or off by looking for the command.

i notice a lot of revenue pursuit on www.punkassfraggers.com, will you charge people for the download of such a pack like a certain other site does? (we dont charge for the models we only charge for the bandwidth crap?)

Revenue persuit?
There are affiliate program ads on PAF. We have a Cafe Press store.
Everything on the PAF site is free including the downloads. All of our prior releases have been free, all of our future releases will be free as well.
I'm not saying i'd turn down money if someone wanted to pay to advertise but no one has yet.
The PAF is a site that I created and run out of my home. I have my own web server and do all the coding. This is not a big corporate thing, It's me and tha people that want to get involved with the gaming community and have a good time doing it.

Haha, thats funny, I tried connecting to the NS Test server IP listed on SoopaFlyYT's site, and model consistency is enforced

THis isn't supposed to be a thread to argue MORE about file consistency...it's just to let people know about their site and what they offer and all this...

The NS Test server was for PAF and Blood Angels members to stress test to find out if it's worth paying for. We have no admin on it, and it's a Test server for the Nuclear Fallout Gaming Community. They chose to activate Consistancy, and we just deal with it.
lol I don't play there anyways, once it went 1.03 I started playing everywhere else.

Will PAF be accepting conversions for this pack?
No problem if your not, I can totally understand that. Given your desire to distribute this and put your name behind it, IP could be a problem. Its just that most of the material around here (at least for now) seems to be conversions from other games. I'm sure that will gradually change as the community matures, but thats how it is now.
Personnally, I want more conversions. I'm thinking of doing some myself, since I don't really have the skill or the time to make my own stuff. I can't wait for some of the more skilled peepz to make some high quality fan-art (like all the Starcraft possibilities).
