I've got a question about the parasite spikes that the skulk uses to tag marines and their structures, I know that they cause 10 damage, but if you hit them again, do you get another 10 damage?

If it is possible to get repeated damage using parasite, then surely with enough skulks firing, the cumulative damage would be quite high, considering the rate of fire, and the range of parasite, it would make quite a crude but effective weapon?

I would really like to know the answer to this, as it could really come in handy.

I think I remember getting hit with parasite more than once but I'm not sure.

i think it does keep doign 10 damage with every shot, but i think its impossible to take out a marine or structure jsut by parasiting it, it would take forever....a marine structure has over 2000+ HP and a skulks parasite does 10 damage...it would take over 200 shots but form multiple skulks it woul take mroe or less the same time...although i would not suggest you to use the parasite as an offense weapon to kill things but mear tag them

it does annoy them though. ive made solo marines leave an area from hitting them again and again. they get annoyed that they cant find me and leave. once the observatory is up though...

lol i remember once when i played, a marine got tagged and later on got killed, he accused the killer of cheating becuase the skulk knew where his position was and repetively being killed after tagged over and over again

Parasite can also be used to open doors and hit buttons. Makes for a lot of fun when you are cloaked and marines walk by

Parasite kills are the epitome of the "knife kill" in other games.

Yep. I've done parasite kills before. Twice against really weakened marines and once against a marine who for some reason never realized his health was going doooooowwwwn (he was busy turret farming). It took quite a few parasite shots but he went down.
