When i create a new LAN game, it goes to the load screen and then never loads. If i quit that launch and start a new one, it just comes up with that error report thing.

Unfortunately thats "normal" behaviour.

I know quite a few people that all reported the same problem about 2 years ago. It might be related to a random windows update.
So while I cannot offer a solution I can offer a workaround.

Create a dedicated server and the njoin it.
You can have the server and the client running on the same machine. Works fine.
