Hey guys. I plugged in my mic and everything, but my computer is not registering it. I have messed around with it for about 20 minutes and cant seem to get it to work. It wont pick up anything. Its brand new.
Anybody have any ideas that could help me, or a link to somewhere where I can get some help?
-Thanks

...
information mate.
USB mic?
Normal mike? Plugged into the proper minijack?
What have you tried?
Go into windows volume controls and make sure the mic is unmuted and under the advanced button (options -> advanced controls if you don't see it) make sure the boost is on.
Do you have a sound card? Software for the sound card? go into the sound card's mixer and make sure the mix is unmuted and has it's boost.
etc etc etc.

Its just a regular headphone+mic set. Plugs into the mic jack on the computer. Not USB.
On the windows sound, it says its on and working correctly, however nothing is being registered. I have everything "ON"", but still nothing. The sound mixer is up. My sound card supports it... Its brand new, just opened it today, it should work I would think...

In the windows sound options activate the microphone boost (+20db).
If your mic is working in windows and not in NS, then its just a matter of finding the correct volume settings.
Cause db is 10 lg(p1/p2) this boost will make the microphone capture anything 4 times as loud, as it did before.
