Everytime I try to open NS I get this error,

Please try again at another time.

Also, when I look on Servers on the steampage it shows people in NS servers, but it wont let me get on.

Please help, im itching to play!!

Sounds like you dont own a copy of hl1 or hl1 is not up to date.

If you follow that guide step by step you should have no trouble running ns.
