ive been thinking about how inflexible the marine weapons really are and what little choise they get.
id like to add one more gun to the light and medium classes and a choise in ammo for the GL.
ligths class: a weak but fast firing shotgun with a detatchable magazine.
10 rounds with 5 pellets and 10 damage per pellet, it equals the LMG in damage per mag but
since its fast firing theres a chans that you miss all or some of the bullets and you get buffé´d.
medium class: an battle-rifle with 20 round with 50 damage.
basicly a heavy pistol, has less damage per magazine then the med-sg but longer range.
heavy class: the grenadier gets to deside if he want HE or canister ammo.
a scaled up shotgun with massive damage, spread and recoil, if your not in HA you get pushed back and JPs get pinballed.
the heavy class allready has two guns so no change here.
the commander buys medium-heavy credit for the classes and the grunt picks wich one he wants
at the closest arms lab (theres a mod that does the same) to the CC or in his left-click menu and it stays with him till he switches.
the commander dosnt have to micro manage as much since its he only pushes a button
and theres placing of the weapons and its alot more flexible.
only real problem is that noones might go HE-GL, but i guess its natural selection if the team gets OCed to death.
so its self moderation for the marines.
Ps. was thinking of adding a Ingram or glock21 like pistol with 10dx20m to the secondary but that migth be overpowered.
