Amazingly amazing for me.  1st shot is a shot of the hall to the CC.  2nd is just down the hall towards where the Marine spawn will be.

Ceiling and Floor are subject to change.

Nice :)

I think the biggest thing here is that you need to mix up the color a bit. Not too much, but try adding some white accents here and there, and I think it will add quite a bit to the atmosphere.

Another thing, I would suggest finding a theme you like for your map, and sticking with it. If you keep changing it, you'll never be able to finish. Or is this the same map as before.... with the sign, etc?

BTW, just curious, what does ns_none stand for? :)

InZaneFleaArmy
I took out the sign...it was causing too many problems...ns_none is exactually ns_Collapse....why do I keep sayng none...I dunno..  I'll add in some small spotlights of white.  I'm trying to think of things to add to it...
realityisdead
Ahh.. I think ns_collapse sounds better. This is quite an improvement over the last shots.

Hmmm... things to add... Maybe some computers on the walls would be nice, maybe not. You might also want to try some thicker and deeper supports running along the walls. Or possibly some windows looking outside?

I see your mapping keeps getting better, only thing you have to work on is your lightning.
Muu
InZaneFlea your really getting good, this is so much better than your early stuff I'm really impressed. Im glad to see you stuck with it and injoy what you do(you do injoy it right?), Ive been mapping since doom and I still manage to learn something new every time I open up worldcraft or visit a forum like this with so many skilled people.
Keep at it, I realy like the colour the lights are casting! fantastic. I think you could inprove the light placment though - make it more even, and try to break the walls up with some doors/bulkheads/cool looking things with no real perpuse.
InZaneFleaArmy
Those lights are texture lights comin from the lights on the wall.  I'm going to put supports in, where the long blue thingys are.
Greedo
Well, I had some stuff to say last night before the forums crapped out again, so I'll just say them again here.  You're definitely getting better, that's for sure. :)  On thing that needs work is that this whole area just seems to barren and empty.  You could certainly do with some wall detail or various objects on the floor.  Nevertheless, this is certainly a good start.
InZaneFleaArmy
Hehe...I know...I'm addin details as they come tyo me.  This was just a test of a cool idea I had for walls...I like it.  I'm gunna add some rubble and stuff sometime in the near future.  I still gunna have the Welcome sign, but it'l be on the wall.
Cremator
i would suggest rounding the corners a bit.  perhaps make the pillars (par of the texture) jut out a little.  it looks too flat and blocky right now.
InZaneFleaArmy
I'm going to make then jut out, and I already rounded the corners:P
UnCritical
I like.
The lighting looks kinda strange but it fits with what i imagined the map would look like from the layout. It shouts 'underground'.
Maybe add some roof supports or some pillars to break up the space. and break up the wall texture a bit more, it looks a bit monotonous.
Wurmspawn
gj IFA,  i think alot of the regularity here can be dealt with not only by adding rubble, computers, etc.  but also by adding detail to the roof.  Rather than having the single texture and a flat ceiling, try adding some depth and recessing and playing with texture combinations.
i think that this, combined with your nifty walls, would provide some interesting geometry and allow you to use the same theme for quite a large area without it becoming monotonous

Rubble...gotta love rubble....OMG...hey....200 Posts...Gotta love the Edit command.
