Hi I have a sound problem when i play Natural-Selection. Whenever I play you know when your near a hive or some area that has the background game sounds. Its way too loud for me and I turned my volume all the way down in the audio settings in game and that barely helps. If I turn down my headphone volume it helps but then I can't hear the regular game sounds or people talking on microphones. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it thanks.

I've been having the same issue, I found out that bgm_ adjustments and ambient_ commands can help eliminate some of the unwanted background sounds. Use them with the console, ~ Tilde key. I haven't figured out a way to remove the ambient sounds totally... thats like the water dripping, hive making noise etc. But it is annoying b/c most everyones got their ingame mic's turned up but not the mic volume on their computer. I found that out about my own today. Hope this helps...
