how do people make the lights glow like that ?

It seems that when i do it, the entire texture lights up (including the borders around the light)making it look funny.

is there a good ns tips and tricks tut anywhere? might save me asking some probably obvious questions lol smile-fix.gif

Putting 1 or 4 point based light entities in front of it, this is what I do, since it saves runtime entities versus --> light overlays.

Light overlays are custom textured func_illusionary in front of the texture, set to rendermode: additive, renderamount: 255. There are a few already in the ns wad files. They are textures based on computer screens for example, but they only show the light emitting parts, the rest is black...
