Its cos your account name folder has a . in it change it to a _ score while in hammer, but you will have to re add wads/change it back to play games or get a new user name. kept telling me steamaps\n.e was not a valid wad file.

Its a ###### I know anyone else got a simpler fix?

I have alot simpler fix.

Copy your ns & ns2 wads to a different location. Point at the new location (I used to use my games drive so it would be E:\Mapping\Wads.

You don't have to use the wads from in the game location.

This is a good suggestion.

But I access the ns/ns2 wads in their default location with no problems...

By the sound of your problem schkorpio, (works for a while after a reboot) you may have bigger problems brewing. If I were you, I'd do some hard drive backups.

Edit: Mind you, thinking about it a bit more, when I open and close Hammer a bunch of times, I've seen it do weird things with my wads as well. Try just leaving hammer open while you compile.
