Did this up today, and I may as well share...

Painter practice. WoW got dumped on the poor Lork.

It's a good effort, but something about it makes it look tame - probably the tusks coming out of the mouth should be more pronounced and higher.

It's pretty nicely done, but I'm wondering why this particular lerk is walking instead of gliding tounge.gif

I imagine the Lerk wouldn't be able to even kick off to fly if it tried tounge.gif

(Unless it threw itself off a ledge, but even then)

I'll be trying a proper Lerk soon once I get my bearings together. Including a non amputated one.

I really, really like what you did with the tailish things on its back... wish I had thought of that. It's a pretty good painting, but he needs legs!

thats very cool, as not so extremedetailed but atleast million times better than if id try to paint the same because ive always sucking on painting somehow. I think you should try make a simply flying version also.
Lerks legmuscles are just sexy

I think the looking down action he's doing makes him look tame as well, or at least not wild and ferocious. I come to this conclusion because if you look at wolves, the leader of the pack stands straight with straight ears and tail while the followers do the same slump action as Lerk.

PS: don't you just love Discovery Channel? tounge.gif.

off-thread: this artwork forum seems being very silent, how boring
