Anyone with an account newer than 2 years and under 500 posts should be restricted from posting in I&S. At least then some of the incredibly retarded ideas which are posted daily might be somewhat reduced.

there are plenty of people who meet your ridiculous conditions who have posted "incredibly retarded" ideas, and this post is a more than adequate example. its threads like this that truly have no purpose here.

No, I'm just saying that the vast majority of them dont, and not allowing them to post in here will remove about 60% of the retardedly useless ideas, similar to some of the ones you post.



I would hesitate to call SmoodCroozn "plenty of people" although, lets be fair, it's pretty obvious he does have a screw or two loose up there.

Okay you guys fail at sarcasm. I think the point has been made now though that there is a lot of crap that gets posted in here, while all of the actual good suggestions get completely ignored (weapons not deconning in the armory drop range etc).

The problem is that when someone posts a dumb idea, lots of people post arguing over how dumb it is, or how its really not that dumb, so it stays at the top of the list until a mod locks it. Meanwhile if someone posts a good idea, 3 or 4 people will post saying "great idea!". And then since no one is disagreeing and theres no argument, no one posts anymore, and it falls off the page and is never seen again.

i dont really think there is a lot of crap here; i think your definition of a "crap post" or a "stupid idea" is an idea that you dont agree with. that aside, you have a problem with people posting crap, then you turn around and do exactly what you are advocating against. congratulations, you have done nothing but contribute to your own problem.

at this point im not sure if your idea was actually serious or not, but i was thinking about it at work, and the funny thing about it is this. if your requirements for posting privilages were to start being enforced, your problem would actually multiply exponentially- not only here but in the other boards. so the people who cant post here would need 500 posts before they can-- so what are they going to do? they are going to post as much crap as fast as they can to raise their post count so they can. now they are S.O.L. with the time requirement, but what this means is that people are posting crap in every other message board until they have been a member for 2 years, and until they have at least 500 posts. so you end up "saving" this board, but you ruin the whole rest of the unknown worlds forums, not to mention encouraging the very problem you are speaking out against.

I think everyone's said everything that needs to be said.
