Make the onos walk slower when he's digesting a marine. The nerf in walk speed should be proportional to the amount of eq the marine is carrying (so if the onos ate a heavy he would be super slow). asrifle.gif tiny.gif

At first I didn't like the idea but after some thought it would actually be a nice "fix" for it. I can't count how many times I've been one HA among non-HA's and me being the only target for digesting. I see digesting a HA kinda like an "instant-kill" as it is right now as the onos typically runs away after getting the HA-snack so the chances of poping out of it's stomac again when it dies reaches close to zero tounge.gif

But seriously, this is kind of a good idea. The only problem is in order to make digesting heavies over lights not worth it, the onos would have to be slowed waaaay down. Unless onos HP was boosted, this would render them pretty useless against HA.

Well you could increase the base speed of the onos a little bit above current (something that might be needed anyway) and have the digesting speed a little bit below current.

Just a quick question:

Isn't the onos supposed to be the counter to HA?

Against a team of HAs, what other lifeform could get a kill, if they are welding each other?
A skulk? A lerk? A Fade?

If the onos would be overpowered, this would be a nice nerf. But right now I think this lifeform is totally balanced (don't forget that it costs 75 res).

I would like to see a stronger onos, but it just needs to be tweaked in many ways so it's not an annoying class as it is now.
With the right alien upgrades you can observe Onoses storm a base, snatch a HA, run away and digest it. Not only does the marine team loose a heavy amour, they also loose a fighting marine for a long time until the digestion is done. It's *really* frustrating to play as marine and constantly see the onos from the inside and never get a few seconds of play.
It would make the onos better if it was tougher but less powerful.

Who said this idea was removing it?

I worry too that the onos would be getting more nerfed by this but perhaps we could boost the onos in otherways while doing this? What about HP/AP? Base speed?

What ever you which to implement, please make this slight, not an extreme effect.

I would like to see the onos nerfed b/c i'm tired of seeing redeeming onoses coming back again and again jamming their horns up my ######. Not only that but they got like a bajillion HP so they could take down like 20 guys before they go back to the hive. Besides, it takes asrifle.gif asrifle.gif asrifle.gif asrifle.gif tiny.gif and even then they still don't die :*(

i thinking about ALL wheight. onos+HA is too heavy to run fast.

onos is already pretty slow, if you use some other upgrade than celerity it's sometimes impossible to run away, current onos is oke.
