Ok i read the help and i have half life but its not steam version, My first question is how do i install half life into steam.

My second question is how do i install Natural Selection.

My friends all say its the best mod for Half life out there and I've looked at the screen shots myself and it looks like a really good game so any information you know would be very helpful, Thanks !

If you don't have a steam account, you have to make one. You can either enter your HL cd key, or if you've lost that, you have to buy a new one, the cheapest option to get NS running is to buy base HL for $9.95

Once you have steam installed it will download the half-life files for you, all 393 or so megabytes worth. You'll have to just wait it out, you can't "install half-life into steam" using your original WON cd.

You can also download a steam installer that has half-life and other games included so you don't have to wait for steam to retrieve them from their servers: http://www.fileplanet.com/130416/130000/fi...che-%5BWin32%5D

You cannot use your old version of standalone half-life with steam period.

If you can't figure it out by this point and you continue to post without first using Google you're just asking to be skewered and rotisserie'd over a 50 foot flame.

actually perhaps he does not need to download. Dunno if its still but when steam was launched you could cache the files from the original install into steam. smile-fix.gif
