i was thinking (as i was looking at a map full of weld spots, and wondering which ones had been welded and which hadn't been welded yet) that it would be useful to have the weld-spot icon change to a different "welded" icon so you can see which ones have and havent been welded from looking at the map instead of having to travel to each spot.
whatcha think?

Devs don't have time to comment every thread. They say that every thread gets read anyway, no matter if there are direct comments or not.

yeah i know
still it wouldnt hurt for someone to take 10 seconds to quick reply "we like the idea" or "we cant do this", etc etc

we like the idea, but it can only happen in a client side update, so not until 3.3 ( if even ). It'll might need a change to the FGD ( the file mappers use in hammer to place entities ) too, and it'll certainly need a change to a network message so the state can be transmitted in the BlipList.

fair enough.
im not really sure what the above post specifically meant, as im not really into mapping/developing stuff, but i figured this idea would be relatively easy to implement into the game (especially compared to some of the other suggestions around).
anyway, thanks for the response
