It was in a while ago, but was removed for balance.

I'm guessing if they were actually integrated.. then gameplay would have to make it very hard for them to be employed, ie lazed targeting, where a marine has to sit and wait there, hoping not to get tanked. But it would also just not do the damage you would think. And the cost would be around 250R+ . And if M got nukes.. what would A get?

I think they should get nuke but it kills own team and structures and cant be done in enemy infestation.

I would think it's not your typical missile of mass destruction, considering that NS takes place aboard ships. Perhaps it should be somewhat like Silent but Violent suggested: a giant "nano surge" that does heavy damage to everything in range, including marines and marine structures.
Although, now that I think about it, doesn't it say in the manual that the Kharaa bacterium prevent Frontiersman nanos from harming them?

You could have a C4 type 'nuke' to be planted where ever ye want.. damages friendly players and structures. Now if it's planted inside the enemy lines, a certain alien creature should have the ability to eat it.. then scamper on over to the marines and go ...

*boom here*

*continued boom here* as Rottenmeat so put. heh..

Wouldn't that contradict the welder? I think in the manual it said that those use nanos - cause I've chased down a gorge with the welder and killed it, and it works great on enemy buildings too.

I mean in terms of the commander just hovering there by himself. Marines' personal nano-fields break gridlock, so it makes sense that welders work.
Wow, I just realized how incredibly well the NS designers integrated balancing features into the story. Woohoo!

anyone agree with me when i say: if u shoot an alien such as skulk they run around like crazy (im not sure if this is already built in the game) but instead of continuing at the same speed they flinch sort of thing. or get pushed back a little bit? might improve realism. they are a real pain to kill with 56k so it might make it easier :/
