Oh, and Active Observers:
1. Comprox
2. Petco
3. Theslan
Also, I'm going with im_lost's idea and changing the Guardian's role so that he has a reduced change to successfully defend the same person multiple nights in a row: it's 100%, then 2/3, then 2/3*2/3 = 4/9, etc for consecutive guardings of the same person. If they change the person to guard, the counter resets.
For those that don't remember, we're in the IRC channel #ns-twg on irc.gamesurge.net
Once again, the game details:
Number of Players: 19
Number of Wolves: 5
Number of Other: 1-3 active observers
Special Roles: Seer, Psychic, Guardian, Random Vigilante, 2 Lovers
Special Note: No death first night.
Lovers (as described by Mantrid): There are two Lovers. If one of them dies, the other dies immediatly from sadness. Lovers are randomly picked, so it is possible that a wolf and a civilian may be lovers.
Random Vigilante: A random civilian is designated as the Vigilante, without being told. At each night, every civilain will send in a PM as a Vigilante would; either selecting a player to kill, or not killing anyone. Only the chosen Vigilante's PM will be acted on.
Active Observer: A normal spectator with the added bonus of being able to post on the thread.
Let's hurry up so we can get this on the road!

So is there a separate thread that we type in or is the game continued here?
Also, I'm not familiar with the gamesurge site but ill check it out.

Lovers know that they are lovers but dont know if they are human, wolf, blue etc.

There will be a separate thread for the actual game, in this section of the forum.
You need an IRC client to use gamesurge. mIRC and HydraIRC are a few suggestions.

Roles have been prepared, and shall be sent out whenever it is I wake up. slackiegorgeking makes his account.
The roles are not set in stone however, and in the case that someone needs to drop out before the game begins, I do reserve the right to re-roll... roles.
zzz now.

At least this time we don't have to worry about getting killed before doing a thing. First night kills always seemed pretty cheap to me.

Preferably both.
Forum for making votes, public statements, etc.
IRC for general chat and private messaging.

Participating in the game thread is mandatory. You have to at least vote there to avoid phantom votes, and people that aren't around much tend to get voted out until someone has definite information to work with.
Being on IRC allows you to quickly talk with other people, and there's plenty of random chat that happens there that could prove valuable to finding the werewolves. It's typically considered a requirement for the game.

I'm currently using irssi actually, but I would never recommend it to someone just starting to use IRC.

I know people (including me) were unsure about this, and I don't think there's an answer anywhere yet, so here should be a good place to ask it. The active observers don't get to have private communication about the game with anybody, right? I guess they would be able to have private discussions amongst each other. Basically, we need a clear statement of what the rules are for that, rather than assuming they are more or less strict than they actually are.

Players are allowed:
-To talk about the game in IRC
-To post on the thread
-To talk between each other
Active observers are allowed:
-To talk about the game in IRC
-To post on the thread
Normal observers are allowed:
-To... talk about unrelated stuff in IRC?
So no, the Active Observers can't communicate directly with players.
