Hey, I'm really new to the mapping community, I only started a month ago and began working on my first map about a week ago. I started building a classic NS map (a map that can be in an official release) and was wondering where the Mapping Guidelines went. The link on the "The NS Mapping Forum FAQ" gives me a non-working link but the link was working when I started mapping. I also haven't seen any news on the mapping forum saying that it was going down either. confused-fix.gif

Can anyone help me out? Is there another link to it or some piece of news I didn't hear? I'd really like to get the info on certain things (like how to make player start positions in ready room) when I need them.

Yours truly, Chocolate biggrin-fix.gif

PS: I don't know if this is the best place to put this forum topic, move it if needed.

It's true that the mapping faq on this forum is outdated, most if not all links are misslinked or simply no longer online.

Thats the current mapping guideline page (ns3.1), it was a link I found on the Natural Selection site. Game Info --> Mapping

BTW: good job on being so active in the NS forums! Especially the mapping forum, it helped me alot smile-fix.gif

Just to say, the team is currently aware of the FAQ having a few broken links. Apparently HTML formatting on the forums is currently a bit b0rked, so fixing the broken links would require rewriting the entire FAQ into IPB code. They're waiting on an HTML fix before they consider a rewrite.

The FAQ should be fixed now.
