I've been thinking about this, sooo any new/better ideas you can lay forward please do.

2 different type pf 'parasites'

1. the normal ns already uses (glows yellow)
2. (could come with second or thrid hive ability, works the same way as normal parasite.)
whenever marine gets parasited by this parasite...it will cause false readings...such as, sounds of aliens. ( skukls movement, lerks, fades....make the marine chase shadows...) parasite itself doesn't deal dmg, so marine wouldn't know they been parasited. (this type of marine can glow red or some other color)


good/bad idea? want to change something?

this about is a bit crazy but here it goes.

this can work by making a new chamber, or parasite.

if the marine is within the chambers range...rather then causing false readings (such as sounds) he will see false aliens, either attacking or running by. (they will never do dmg, they aren't even there. heh.) Aliens could range of any class, since none will ever do dmg. The effect would only last for a short period of time. or depending if he stays near the chamber or moves away from it.

Rather then make a new chamber, make gorgs the ability to upgrade chambers themselves (like comm does to arms lab, obs and so on) each gorg that built there own chamber would now able to upgrade iit to some other function.

or

parasite could cause this same idea.

have gorgs able to upgrade their own chambers - as to what other abilities? I dont know yet personally, but the idea being able to upgrade chambers would expand into new abilities, rather then making 10 different chambers for different things.

Try to search after different types of parasite with your assistant..

I always liked the idea. Perhaps it could be a 2nd hive innate upgrade to the parasite. Make them see random things and hear random alien noises... they wouldnt necessarily have to look 'natural', such as having bots wtih waypoints and all. It would be much more feasible to just make either stationary models that disappear within a second of sight, or random moving models.

That would be goddamn trippy as a rine. And hilarious as an alien.

I really didn't know. Would you know if this idea was shut down? Was it good/bad?

are these ideas good in exploring more? what should be added, changed and/or removed? do these ideas sound reasonable? Should the aliens gain new abilities? or expand the ones they have with new changes to them?

Your idea might actually work, the other ideas was like a 5 sec stun effect and other extreme stuff. ;P

The only problem would be for the reflections to simulate human behavior.

and also the infected player would most likely kill himself after a few min because of annoyance of third degree

The sound part however would work just fine since sound is a important element of ns

I know the sound effect sounds more realitic to the gameplay, but would that be easy to make? or will it happen? I hope to see if any devs can comment about this.
