Each time there more marines than aliens, there a problem in the respawn rate: too much aliens wait for respawn.

Idea:
When there more marines than aliens: speed up the respawn rate for aliens.
When there more aliens than marines: slow down the respawn rate for aliens.

(It's for NS, not for CO)

I could be wrong, but I do believe this is already implemented.

No.... ATM, aliens respawn rate depend only of the number of aliens.
If there more marines than aliens, you'll see that aliens respawn rate is too slow.

In other words, you're worried about the fact that when one team has twice as many players as the other, they have a better chance of winning.

Theres a solution for that too: mp_autoconcede. It ends the game when the player numbers get too unbalanced. Beyond that the best answer is just to ASK PLAYERS TO SWITCH TEAMS, because any fix that makes a team with less players on it more powerful to compensate is just wrong.

No, i'm worried that when marine have 1 or 2 more players than aliens, then aliens spawn rate is too slow...

It's not about to make a team more powerful, but to avoid that a team wait too much time in the spawn queue because there more player in the other team.

You can't divide a player by 2. You can only wait that a new player come.

I generally consider the teams even if the marines have one extra payer, because the commander takes a player out of the field. To me the teams are only unfairly balanced to the point someone needs to switch if the rines have 3 extra players

Oh, all right, in that case the answer is simple:

You're dreaming.

Yep, that simple. Adding one more marine does not change the alien spawn rate in ANY way, shape, or form. Nor does it change the marine spawn rate. The marine spawn rate is entirely dependant on how many IPs the commander wants to pay for. So the number of marines on the team doesn't impact any spawn rates of any kind. Therefore, there is no reason to say the alien rate is too slow because there are more marines.

Right. It's for ideas you think should be in NS that arent, or ideas that shouldn't be that are. But not ideas that you think shouldnt be that already aren't. For that you want the fan-fic forum. wink-fix.gif

Erm I don't care about the number of players, but it is a problem when 3 of the top players all join the same team. The opposing team is entirely wiped out by these players and it just isn't fun.
