So, I have seen this once before on a custom NS server with an AMXX mod, and decided to add on to it. Basically, this is a mix of co_ and ns_. You will gain levels like in co, but one of your team members has to be the commander (if on marines, of course). Teams will battle over about 5-7 rez nodes (1 in each base [only 1 hive for this game]) and one to two at a marine favored location, one to two at an alien favored location, and one in the middle. The person with 200 resources first (either total of the team for aliens or the commander rez pool) wins. The commander will be able to place turrets and turret factories, along with armories (simply for assist, no weapon drops or AA) and any other support structures. No research buildings. Each time the comm drops something, it costs rez, but adds to his experience which he can use to enhance the defense/offense of his structures, along with maybe a few that will help the individual marines directly. Every time a turret kills an alien, he will also gain experience. Aliens, on the other hand, can build OCs, DCs, SCs, MCs, and resource towers. The chambers will also be solely for support.

It seems confusing at first, but once you get it, i think you might like it.

there used to be a gameplay-changing plugin for co called territory or something, basically youd work your way to the enemy spawn capping res and protecting them and ultimately getting all the nodes

it was played when it was new, but people with low attention spans and maybe some kind of learning disability got bored because they had to stop at a res node and press e to build it. so it got replaced by another plugin, extralevels. and look where we are now
