Is there a reason why when you're in commander mode you can't bind things like "+jump" or "+duck" to the mouse2 and mouse3 buttons? This is more of just a question than a report.. I figure this has been seen long ago and there is a legit reason for it not being able to be done, I would just like to know. I have seperate config files for my alien/marine/comm binds and it would be nice being able to go to requests or set hotkeys just using either or both of the mouse2/3 keys. Other than that, those two useful keys are.. useless.

It's a limitation of vgui, and can not not be fixed.

Just to expand on that a touch. Whenever you have a cursor on the screen that you control with your mouse in Half-Life you are in VGUI mode. When it is active input from your mouse is handled very differently then when you are just playing. The normal functions for the mouse binds (mouse1 -> mouse5) are ignored so that things like clicking on a button are picked up correctly by the game.
As Chimp stated this is a limitation of the HL Engine, and isn't anything that we can change.
