Hello E-team!
I cannot believe it's been 7 years since we released NS v1.0 on Halloween. Even with the lag and problems, it was a very special night for us and this time of year always makes us reflect on where we've been and where we're going.
As someone who indicated they would be interested in helping spread the word about NS2, I just wanted to give you a quick heads-up to let you know that we'll be releasing the first NS2 screenshots today. We'll be getting some wider coverage from other gaming sites but what what we could really use is more pimpage from you guys. We actually just got the first write-up on the developer site Gamasutra talking about our pre-orders numbers here: http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=25036
So we'll be sending screenshots out to the first few news sites in a couple hours and then posting them on our blog (along with our 7th Anniversary blog write-up and detailed discussion of the state of NS2) shortly after that.
I will e-mail you again in a few hours to give you links that we'd love to have you promote if you can. Ideas:
- Tweeting/Re-tweeting any of the news posts or our blog post
- Facebook updates describing how awesome you think they are with a link (hopefully you DO think they are awesome!)
- Posting guerrilla-style to forum threads about the game along with links
- Submitting screenshots or articles to other news sites as news
- Posting stuff in feedback and comment threads in response to articles
- Anything else you can come up with to help us get the word out and the buzz machine moving
