yes please, id very much like to tinker with it too...
oh...i came up with some ...textures for the hands, there kinda crappy, but im thinkin on taking the heavy arms, get rid of those armor shards that surround the hand, and see if i can turn that into a sc arm.

Alright I fixed up the gauss, I gave it some mods on ti sskin, its darker and has areduced glare and soem filters on it, I also changed the animatiosn so it is held with 1 hand in the idle and in the firing too. Sadly I tried to reamke the reload but I was nto succesful, but it looks better with the new origins I put on it. I also made a version with heavy arms.

The file I got extracted the wrong sound files, basically ALL the other sound files, but none of the music files.....Ive looked all over my Starcraft Directory for naught.
Ah well, Ill have to get it the hard way.

The building sprites should be re-done a bit more, they still seem like they came out of MS paint or something. Just a little pixel pushing and some good shading would match the health bars with the ones in SC. If you send it over to me, I could stick a faint glow around it and just overall clean it up to look really nice?
EDIT: oloffe, do you mind sending me your sprite sets? I would like to work on the sprites with you, I'm pretty good with photoshop and what not...together, we could make your sprites really nice looking. Or I could just help you with the sprites you haven't completed yet?

the building looks pixelated because I wanted tem to look like the SC icons. So I shrinked them first to the same size as the SC icons (32x32) then i resized them to 50x50. But maby they can be redone..

I was talking about the sprites that indicate the health bars of the buildings, the build icons you have for the commander mode are completely fine! Actually, I was thinking along the same lines as you of pixelating the building icons. Um, I guess just send my whatever you've got done, and whatever you don't have done. I could work on the sprites you don't have right now too. Finish what work you've already started on though, because I not sure it would look consistent if I made a few icons that looked different from your own...
What about the alien sprites?

I dont know which Alien sprites that are allready has been made. OneoftheLost wrote that he have the Zerg sprites.

Ok so in summary, Yes I have some alien sprites. Actually All I really have is the Alien Menu, its completely re-done Zerg style, I can send it your way if you want. As for the sprite that shows the building progress, that could be redone.
BTW your building progress sprites turn me on. They freakin rock. The Comm icons all rock as well.
Now this pack is damn near complete. Just need the final sprites, a couple buildings, the Gauss finished, and this stuff will be in the publics' hands.
Keep up the good work all!(Cause we all know I havnt done a damn thing, well except play test everything

Uh, anything else I could do besides the b_health and b_build sprites?
I can do significant sprite and texture work...
Small Problem:
In Starcraft, when a building was selected, it would display a green circle (regardless whether it was completely built or not). For the NS building sprites, do you want me to use a seperate color circle for building, and a green circle for a completed building? Or do you just want to keep both building and completed building circles green? I'm just concerned it might produce confusion when people can't easily figure out if a building was complete or not...

Messed with the Starcraft expantion logo and this is the result.

I put the same logo under the StarCraft text on the BG. (requested by OneoftheLost)

Btw I think I got some music for the main menu. Its the theme from the first level, dunno if you guys want or not. Its the Terran theme. Couldn't find the regular SC music. Put the file in and I will test tonight.

You can also just replace all the ns_ambient music files with SC music. Actually, you put more than six music files, any name you want, into the folder, and the game will automatically play those music files randomly throughout the game. However, you do need to name one file as ns_titlescreen if you need it to play on game start.
Also, how are you with Marine Vox sounds? I think I have huge collection of Marine sound files like Catalyst, Weapon Pick-up, Communication, Orders, commander screen...etc.

Im not a complete nub, I did rename the file, , the title music works great, as for the vox sounds, they are in the Starcraft soundpack, so yes I have them.
As for the ambience sounds, didn't think of that, thanks for the idea, Ill grab some more starcraft music and put them in, if you have any preferences let me know.

Eh, I dunno, just pile all the Terran and Zerg music into the folder and let the computer handle it. The only thing that annoys me though is that the music hardly ever plays, unless you use scripts or increase music frequency...which is why I'll just drop this thing in here cause I have nothing else to say.

I can change text in some text files so the Envolve names (Skulk, Gorge ect...) can be changed to drone, ultralisk, ect..
Good/bad idea?

Ive got all the files that are completed, made a directory for them, and am happily using them. Seriousley the damn thing is gonna be completed. Im just waiting on everyone since they all want to submit their new models,sprites etc. Seriousley people all your work is awesome, quit being so damn picky! I have everything, just waiting on the damn sprites, I have a beta of them and they rock, im thinking about releasing, problem is all the zerg sprites arnt done, and some of the damn comm chair sprites (AKA the logout button) are not yet complete. I will not release this ish until it is done, well unless it hits the middle of january, then im going to release with what I have.
On a completely unrelated note I have started learning programing with Python to supliment my extensive, if damn near useless HTML knowledge.
Is this a subtle hint that you all are taking too damn long?

Good job on the work, even though I've pretty much nothing of it. I'm a fan of Starcraft and NS and I'll be following this "mod of a mod" until it's release and even beyond. Can't give any advice because I know aboslutely nothing about programming, sprits etc. and you've thought of everything for both games. I'll be one of your first public playtesters

and give you guys feedback.
Hope they release a Starcraft 2, we're long overdue. If they do, I hope you integrate this into NS2!

Hmmmhmmm what to say.
Not to be rude, but I feel since I started this crap I have a say.
YOU CAN FIND ALL OF THESE MODELS ON TEH NET ALREADY.
Im just making it conveniant for you, putting it all in one neat happy meal/package thingie.
Really, the only thing you can't get would be the music and menu background. No biggie, I just contacted dozens of moddelers and the NS custom community and asked them for help. This isnt a mod of a mod, this is a compilation of models and sprites that other people have made that turn NS into....a starcrafty NS.
That being said thanks for your support, I hope to get this done a little bit after new years.
(My sprite-guy left me.

Also expect multiple versions/updates as more moddelers release more stuff.

Yeah, anyone know any good NS model sites around anymore? T2K, Brys, and NSA are all down. Also, I can do sprite work if Oloffe won't be around for 3 weeks.
