We all love Aliens, so it's just a matter of time before someone makes a pulserifle and smartgun to replace the LMG and HMG. I was wondering, has anyone thought of this before? I can't wait to begin blowing apart skulks with my smartgun, preferably with sounds from the movie . I would do it myself but alas, I have no modelling skills or free time, so this is sort of a request I guess. Is anyone with me?

I hope someone, someday, makes a Colonial Marine conversion for the marines. If they do make a smartgun i hope they edit the player model animations so the guy will hold it right.

Ive already been looking into makeing pulse rifle and smartgun. I have a Pulse rifle made for CS and will converting it in the next week (for LMG).
The smartgun is more trouble, the one from AVP2, the model is only of the front half of gun, so thats not good. I have an old as hell one made for HL, but it barely has enough polygons for a Pmodel. Theres one in the works for Firearms right now, and i can certainly convert it when its done, but until then i dunno. Does anyone have any smartgun model around and i will convert it.

a member of my clan has already converted 3 diff avp2 marine models and is now doing the pulse rifle.

i have a strange fascination with this gun, i think the aliens colonial marines and the pulse rifle are the coolest ever created sci fi weapons and humans

and the aliens are incredible as well, they look scary the ns ones look funny, i may change them to scary aliens as well

maybe its just me but I dont laugh when i see an onos.... *shudder*

Ohhhhh ya! Definately need some Marine weapons from "Aliens". Thats one of my fav. movies
If they modeled A pulse riflefor the LMG, a SmartRifle for the HMG, and Hick's Compact Shotty for the normal shotgun, that'd be so incredibly sweet!

Get a Thompson receiver from auto-ordinance and you can get it to fire real .45cal bullets.

ya but the way you rig the mag with the wires and sensors and the drilling probablly wouldnt hold up to well with shooting live fire ammo

Well the counter won't work anyway, I have a Thompson M1 semi-automatic from auto-ord (they cost $800), and I do have Remington 870 shotgun, I am currently in the process of figuring out a way of getting it to properly function. Gotta remember, all the pulse rifle kit is a peice of plastic formed around a reciever of a thompson.

The main thing that is holding me back is the price tag for the Pulse Rifle kit. ($1,300!!!)

P.S. I have Pulse Rifle sounds from AVP1 and 2 if ya need em.

Yeah would be very cool to have a pulse rifle in NS or a smartgun.
