i'm sure most of the devs agree it shouldn't be released.

If you're that hard up to have this feature just turn off your view models.
RotA_Plague
Well right now I concider me and many other people leathal enough as a skulk. Even though I have a perfect understanding of how to do this and even set it up so it just shakes a little and doesn't bite fully. That would just be cheating basicly, I would believe that a skulk that could see perfectly while taking on 10 marines and killing them all because he can keep his eye on all of them while killing would be way past unfair. It would just be away of having a "aim hack" for the skulk or the lerk, completely unfair and rude.

same, thing considered cheating. FLAYRA SAID SO and turning off ur hud, turns off hivesight and everything else.

I thank you for not just distributing it anyways. Deciding to keep it until a decision is made is the way to go.

Then maybe he should do something about it, hmmm? some people may turn view models off because they prefer a higher frame rate. But as long as people can still do it in game, until it's hard coded out, and until somebody on the Dev team makes a public announcement that it's cheating, people will continue to do it. And even if the Dev team makes an announcement saying "PRETTY PLEASE DON'T TURN OFF VIEW MODELS!" Do you really think people on the internet are going to abide by some "honor" code? what's making them live up to it? The answer is nothing.

I am sorry, but to me throwing around the words "Cheat, Cheater. Cheating" is like politicians playing on the race card in politics, both are stupid and annoying.

P.S: NO I DO NOT HAVE MY VIEW MODELS OFF, I think they look cool in-game and having them off would do nothing but take away part of the game, but I can understand the plight of some people who need lower poly models and things of that nature.
SovKhan
if they code it in that it takes hivesite off or w/e ill just make models that are 1 polygon. and are out of view, for all the weapon models.
Fopher
I'm telling ya, there's nothing to be gained OR lost by releasing it. Someone else is going to sooner or later, so no point in keeping it like you are the only person in the whole world who can do it and by not releasing it you are changing anything. You really can't refute these facts, so either release it or don't and leave it at that.
