go their to veiw. i have the new part meshed and i have a crappy temp skin on their now untile i can find someone to skin it....... i just hated the fact the barrels ont he things were so short and not actuall barrels. so i changed it. i will have to redo anims also because of the way it deploys.

I think they're short as they are because then the bullets will spread more. And those aliens use to move quite fast, so it's better hoping that some of the bullets may hit the alien.

It's a nice change to the barrel, though.

no im looking for a skinner cus i suck at it. dl will be their as soon as it is skinned and then i have to reanimate because the depoly anim will have to be changed.

Interesting changes, SovKhan. The barrels look nice. Out of curiosity, how many polygons is the gun model now?

Nice round barrels look cool, but there is a reason why they were not painted on the texture and not modeled in the first place, which was to keep the poly count low. There can be a lot of these guns on the screen, and the more detailed they are with their geometry, the more of a performance hit they are. This, after all, isn't the Doom 3 engine wink.gif

Just wanted to warn you about that, when replacing models with custom made ones.

like 750 or below i could get exact count, i used 4 sided barrels and their are 8 of them. i could make it lower useing 3 sided ones. and also ic ould make the extensions part of the other barrels. and also its for more high end systems anyway. i realize they wanted to keep polycount low for the release its about 600 polygons. i can make lower if the general feeling is that its to meny.

I'd love to see low-poly replacements for some of the models. My computer has a hard enough time running NS as it is. sad.gif

souris, try taking of viewable weapons? might be a pain in the **obscenity** at first but that will save u a ton of polygons.
