All I know is that I've downloaded the conversions in the past, only to be plagued by this horrible-looking bugg-assed reload that made the model look like crap.

I just thought the purpous of releasing them was to put out something people would want to download for quality, but I guess I can take any of my half-done items and put them out with a "Done" sticker on it. Everyone will download it then...

Ive tried that b4, it was a pain in the butt to get the slide to look right.
Anyway, the mp5k animations werent that spectacular, but these animations are pretty good. The hand looks a little borked but if I didnt dispise galil's Id use it.

Yea the main problem I have is the bones on my fingers, their all goofed up and using local rotation is a 5 minuite process just to get 1 finger where you want it

I might do a degal later, but prob wont be that one. Maybe
this one though.

Until someone releases a 3D max arm rig, no one is going to animate fluidly. Lets all remember that no one is getting paid, to release custom materials, so before you all start flaming fuzzy, you should think about the time he put into doing this.
PS. Ice was that sarcasm?

i resent that. all my animations are done in milkshape, and IMHO they're fluid

the latter ones at least
The_Thing
Nov 2 2004, 09:42 AM
Maybe I exaggerated a bit. My point was actually, that even the best milkshape animator wont be able to animate anything better than an animat made in 3D max (in terms of smoothness).

i have to dissagree, and say that either program could be used as well as the other. Also this would probably be why a lot of people animate in milkshape, like myself, ice, fuzzy and others.

I've always admired brigs animations (except the warspike o.O)
I think you all expect these prefect animations, but you got to remember that most of us have attended no professional school/lack 0mgh4x0rz talent for animations that look like the ones in red orchestra :/
Not saying my animations are

No way, they rocked! I used those animations for about 6 months until I formated. The only thing I hated was the shoot animation cause it went way to high, but I just switched it with the shoot empty. I also used a different revolver. But im serious those animations were the coolest.

Maybe i'll put out a fixed version with the UVmap and the shoot animation fixed. But the reload is simpily a pain to do.

Everyone knows that Fuzzy rushes though, I won't disagree with you on that, I've seen his animations and they're all rushed. I've seen problems here adn there at all times but still, atleast he is progressing, slowly but he is. And **** like this (the galil with drum) is just another thing for him to learn from.
Iono you have your opinion and I agree and disagree at the same time but I have respect for Fuzzy as appose to you. There are tons of different ways you could have approached this rather than just coming in screaming.

Anyhow, the Galil w/ Drum HMG is a very nice model, and the animations were actually smooth. The only problem I see with it is that there is no external model, meaning when you are standing next to a marine with an HMG, you cant see the Galil, you only see your old HMG model.
