well since its been a while since we had a contest i decided to start this one up


Rules

1)no realy old models if you started something in the last 2 weeks thats fine i dont want people stopping their projects just for a contest
2)nothing over 2500 TRIANGLES!
3)no backface deletion
4)if you model something you have to model everything as in both sides imagine its going to be seen
5)everything is under 1 catagory unlike last time that it was split up MODEL ANY WEAPON!
6)if you steal some ones model and claim it as yours you will be disqualified

Time
contest entry lasts 1 week you have 7 days to PM me your entry contest will end 4:10 pacific time

Entry
you will PM me a .3ds of your model
you have only 1 entry so just pm me the final one if i get more then 1 pm from you i will only count the first one you sent so dont mess up

Prizes
since i got nothing to offer i will offer uv-mapping/meshing the winning model
$20.00 worth of merchandise from the NS Store care of Delarosa
maybe some one can offer some other prizes also?

problem with the whole .3ds sending thing is if its modeled in milkshape exporting it to 3ds makes it look like pewp

should make everyone use smd or (even better if you're mean) mdl format.

the problem is i cant import .smds into 3dsmax 7
and also not everyone can compile

if all the milkshape models get messed up in the transfer to 3dsmax then ill just make everyones model flatshaded

i have an old galil MAR model somewhere in my HD, i deleted the backfaces though, so i guess i cant submit it

in half life you look at a gun from a certain point of view and no matter what animation plays there is a certain point in the gun that will never be seen so most modelers delete that part to save on performance

And Chrono, the reason I said the stuff about meshing it, is because I need it to be meshed, but I don't want to do it, because I suck.

its kinda hard to judge a 2500 poly model,everything's detailed n nice, but with a 1500-1800 poly count, it comes down to the modeller's skill on how to use the polies wisely

i would take part but i'm modelling some other stuff at the moment, and i'm not sure what i could enter for this. That models looking good so far too chrono i'd say just fix the smoothing up a bit and you've got a winnar. Good luck to everyone else anyway
