Dave :D
Hey, just got back form a 1 year hiatus on NS. Back then I played on a XP sp-4 system, and had no trouble with the game at all. This time around, however, the first time I got into a

command chair, the display showed the screen with the area currently displayed, but everything else was black. You couldn't see the mini map, nor the hot key/build menu or even the log out

button. I could still select things from what I remember of the hot keys, so it didn't impede me that much, but it was very frustrating. I heard a couple people talking about such a bug before,

when I used to play it, but never paid attention to what they were told to remedy this particular situation. Can anyone help a brutha out?

Any errors in the console?
Maybe update your graphics card drivers.

I am having this exact same problem! ><

What render mode is your game running in?
gaz_au
I have the same issue. Windows 7 64 bit. ATI 5770 with latest driver from ATI site. Happens in D3D or Open GL. 32 or 16 bit colour, any resolution, widescreen or not, in a window or not. Also never seems to exit cleanly. It seems to lock and I have to kill it via task manager.

Got a screenshot? Are there any other visual bugs? Are there any errors in the console?
gaz_au
have not checked console, will do that. The other visual issues are a few other items are also blacked out, such as the welding progress bar when you weld something. Working on a screen shot too.
