looks alot better with the mag attached :/
awww what the hell, if anyone wants to mesh, mess around with, destroy, animate, the model its attached.

Just pull and play with the polygons until you get more intersting features to the gun like square notches, support handles, I don't know what the words are for the description, besides more detail. Don't be discouraged by helpfull critisizm. I personally think the gun needs a little more bulkiness too it. Good start though.

nice constructive post there necro... never ceases to amaze me what someone who doesn't model will say to someone who can after an attempt.
I say, add a few details here and there jag, but a good skin can easily make this look 10x better. Remember, not every detail needs to be modelled on, they can usually be skinned on and look just as good, if not better (where shading comes into play, especially if not seen from different angles during animations...).

actually i was bored out of my **obscenity** mind and i tried to see what i couldmake without using a single vetex by vertex poly, i tihnk it turned out pretty well for doing that
btw if your curious what I CAN do

Damn jaguar, those are nice effin models. I'd say look at some pictures of maybe a vulcan cannon, see if that spurs any re-design on this

until i see this modelling community as good as the FA one, i don't think you should insult us
as soon as i get those meshed i might turn them into LMG replacements for the hell of it, hehe. probly look alot better than default modles :\

I think I'll take exception to that. It amazes me when people who don't want their work insulted have absolutely no problem insulting someone else's.
i shall rephrase what i said earlier. it sucks (wait wait waiiiiiiit!) but in that i mean you can't do a very good model without a concept (well atleast i can't!), so thats why i'm not gonna even try to model for ns, but i DO suggest that you do what the ns team did, BASE your models AFTER real guns, with scifi-ish modifications!
what's wrogn with the default models? I'd like to see you guys do better. Considering NS weapons have a strict poly limit those weapons look great and alot better than the weapons posted in this thread or any other weapon replacement thread i've seen in this forum. Show some respect from time to time...
i dont like them imho, maybe its jsut the skin but it looks messy and disorganized :\

oh i would love to see an OICW or maybe a P90 with a slight more futuristic look (hint to modelers).
somekind minigunmodel doesn't fit to ns for me

You are aware that I completely ripped the oicw off for the gl, right?
