Please make sure u have ns installed and working before installing this file, then run using the "Natural Selection Training Map" link under 'My Games' in steam
Mirror 1 - Sorcerer.de Mirror 2 - overmind.pl Mirror 3 - Waypoint World To play natural selection after completing the training, quit out of the mod, run "Natural Selection" (under the 'My Games' list in steam) and click on the 'Find Servers' link. To uninstall, go into the windows control panel > add remove programs, and select remove from the list comments welcome from new players only, for general comments please use the release thread here discalimer: this map is unofficial and does not in anyway reflect the quality of the final game and i suck at writing disclaimers. suggestions welcome This post has been edited by Meat Popsicle: Jun 4 2005, 01:38 AM -------------------- |

Excellent map, I would reccomend it to any player who is even semi-new to the game.
<edit> Admin, please sticky this. This map is a great service to the community and a HUGE help to new players. </edit> This post has been edited by Chaos Xero: Mar 29 2005, 02:49 AM -------------------- Chaos Xero since 1.04!

Beautiful job, I'd reccomend it as a prerequisite to actually playing the game. Available on the main screen right on top of "Join New Game." I do realize that the game gives the new people a run-down of the kharaa, but is there any chance of a version going into detail on them? Possibly touching on chamber-dropping ethics and the like as well as the basic premise of the team's gameplay?

chamber ethics? the new player will probably be overwhelmed as it is, its all about teaching them the fundamentals, the rest they can pick up for themself

Encredible, I thought it would be a waste of my time, but it is very informative, ambient, and gives us a TASTE of what NS would be in single player! GET THIS NOW! It's not just a training map, like I said it's a taste of NS single player.
If NS Single Player evers comes along, even if it's 3rd party, I expect the team that worked on this to be there. Encredible. Should be in the official release. Th onos part scared me so badly! I was like "OMG!111 a heavy!11 ONOH PEWP!" The recordings are clear, and get the point across with minimum bs. Visuals: Gives me a great sense of infestation, of which I havent felt in a long while. Greenie.... =] I was expecting a recording of a 13 year old going "OGMF u NOOB BULD TEH OBS!111" Okay. 'nuff reading. Download this... And Sticky it! |
