Yeah, geometry is placed according to the direction you are facing. When starting a new map it's best to place something without moving the camera so you can use it as reference.

How exactly do I add something to my layers? I figured selecting something, like my floors, and then selecting "Add Layer" would place all my floors into one layer but no dice. Do layers only effect entity/prop?

That's in the manual: • Level geometry cannot be placed in a layer (not currently implemented)

"Add layers" creates a new layer. To add something to a layer, you need to select it, and then click the checkbox in the layer you want to add it to.

EDIT: Grargh, Mendasp always does this to me. He's right, too; you can't add level geometry to layers, yet.

Use the selection tool and press the "check sign" after selecting your prop. Atleast that worked for me when removing lightbulbs.

Edit: Insane beat me to it.

Out of curiosity, some of my models in the list don't show up when I try to place them and they have no portrait picture, does anyone else get this or is it something on my end? Should I try updating the tools or is there a way to back up client files?

Woohoo! My first build in NS2 editor! A generic corridor.

That is interesting, so you can make individual faces rather than just blocks?

Are you implying I should read the manual? ;)

The marine allways looks in the same direction for me Oo

After seeing those first images, I went back to my default room and added some more props, took me about 5 minutes. imagine if I had a week to work this out.

Sorry for the size. Something I was working on but I doubt I'll finish. The lighting is very rough.
