I hope the flames actually look like sprayed, burning fuel and not a can of hairspray with a match

I hope its not as ambushy/offensive as the tf2 pyro, more slow sweeping advancement (perfect for burning that nasty DI away) or aoe defense.

Not posted yet. It's nothing fancy, just some q's from Xerond (who is in a far distant time zone) for the NS section covering a little about me and a little about NS2. I just had to run it all through Charlie before passing it his way.

Is it just for doing machinima or can we be expecting L4D style victory cinematics?

Cinematica sounds good to me. Looking forward to seeing more about this tool. Will it be available to the public, perhaps bundled with the game?

On the topic of the flamethrower, here are some videos of actual flamethrowers (because I'm bored):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZXUYEdSNhY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCcf31POIt0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thaP_5d8ZpQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT1pNO11bjI

From what I can tell, they seem to have a longer range and a tighter cone than what we generally see in games.

Thanks for the flamethrower reference, Paradox Monkey. Yep, we'll be shipping the cinematic editor and all our tools along with the game.

We're also talking about doing pre-orders (soon) and having those folks give early feedback on the tools and tech as well.

We don't really know what it does, so I cant really tell you if it's appropriate. Sounds rather long a pretentious compared to "builder", "editor" and "effect editor". May I suggest "Stage" or "Director"

Like I've said before, I got money sitting right here, just waiting for you to come along and snatch it up...

Decoda
Cinematica

I think they should stay in a line to simplify the direction to Unknown Worlds, but Cinematica sounds strange.
Just to throw some in:

Cutscene (Editor)
Sequence (Editor)
Blink, Focus
Render0r!

Oh my god you guys are just pumping out tools all the time. Hope you can give us some info on this soon ^^
Never think I've heard of anything such as a cinematic tool for a game before, although this will surely spark some fun into machinima!
On the subject of the name, I think naming it like the other tools will be a bit better, as "Cinematica" sounds right now it could be a separate program for something else.
