I second the sticky.
Mostly because like half of those posts feature me talking to myself. Actually no wait, I'm mistaken. :[ There are two other threads about mines that I contributed to. Let me find them. This one about mines This one also about mines More crap, this time about Alien RTs VS Marine RTs, which has to do with Game Economy Why never to recycle RTs I remember writing a whole lot more junk. Maybe the rest of it is on the general forum. There are a lot of posts with information that can really help new players with the subtleties of NS. I like this topic. One of these days, I'm going to write about how to prioritize targets and actions as a marine. I just see too many people dying to skulks because they were spraying the fade, or dying in general because nobody was covering. But that would be so much information, I wouldn't know where to begin. There are alot of these kinds of "indexing" threads going around different forums, I&S most of all. It's a hint to you forum admins out there - we need a better search/organization system! At the least there should be selectable tags to go in front of the thread name, just to be able to easily sort posts into categories.

yeah, i'd like to keep the first post mainly about more comprehensive guides and posts. So perhaps keep out threads where all it's resolving is say, not to electrify every rt.

I find this index very useful, good job.
Regarding map specific strategies, I made a post ages ago about the ns_veil chokepoints. Although some of the info is outdated, there is a lot of stuff in there that is still pretty useful, especially in some of the comments... You can add it in if you want (or even better, someone could write something more up to date). ns_veil chokepoints -------------------- ![]() |

This needs to be stickied, and copied (or linked to by something stickied) into the new player forum.
You've pretty much eliminated the need for new people to search, which is annoyingly important. |
